From Saint Pons, there are 25km (15.5miles) to the first stage at the Roque Borio campsite. You can shorten the route from Courniou by 7 km, or very slightly by shortening the last leg to Saint Pons. On the map, the itinerary is obvious and saves you at least 4 km. This walk is mostly on tracks in the undergrowth and in small perched villages. The Forestière de la Corniche trail offers exceptional views over the valley and the Avants-Monts.
